God in Politics, Part 1

Today I wrote the following at my personal blog. Here’s the trackback. PS: I was having some trouble organizing my thoughts so be gentle, por favor.

How to incorrectly incorporate religion into politics

Okay, the following is a post from the blog “Jesus Politics”.

The great spiritual gift of Obama is that he has mastered this – not by suppressing it or denying it. But by confronting it, looking at it, expressing it, and channeling it to better ends. That some on the far right would now use this process of honesty as a way to describe Obama as a racist is a sign of their cramped hearts, frightened souls and utter inability to empathize. One day, they will feel ashamed. Right now, they simply have to be overcome.

First of all, I wholeheartedly disagree with the idea that God supports some nominees over others, as this blog entry would imply. I don’t subscribe to either political party so by no means am I just pissed that this post makes it out that God would vote Democrat or something.

Snipers and NAFTA and health care, oh my!

Tonight’s democractic debate on ABC was, for lack of a better word phrase, unbelievably stupid. At this point in the game to continue going back to petty issues is just not a smart thing for a major media outlet to do and I hope someone gets nailed for it. The interviewers did not conduct themselves well, the questions have either already been dealt with or were not important, and overall it was a waste. No real issues were brought up and I’m tired of hearing about Clinton’s lying with Bosnia and Obama’s acquaitences. Let’s hit some hard issues that forces a democractic nominee into the picture and the loser out. I mean, it’s pretty obvious that it’s over for Hillary, but she’s not getting that. Why not make her either step up to the plate or get the hell off the field?

MGO: Premier Beta

It’s an amazing day outside, pretty windy but a nice 70 degrees out, which is the nicest day we’ve had this spring thus far I’m pretty sure. The week’s been pretty nice in general, although we’re supposed to get some rain showers the rest of the week until Sunday when it warms up again.

The only huge down side for me? I’m sick. I’ve had a cold since Monday night and it’s wrecking me.

That hasn’t prevented me, luckily enough, to get some pictures of the new Metal Gear Online Premier Beta. No game-play yet, as the servers don’t go live until the 21st. Check the jump for more pictures those of you who didn’t get in on the beta might be missing. I’ll post my gamer id for those of you who did get in in case you care to join.

Snake? SNAKE?! SNAAAAAKE!!

Well, I had initially preordered Metal Gear Solid 4 hoping to get into the Metal Gear Online beta coming the 21st. . . Unfortunately I was disappointed to learn that since I preordered online and decided to receive Metal Gear Solid 4 via mail, I would not be getting into the MGO beta as you had to preorder in-store to qualify.

Until today that is.

Fill out the following form here for a chance to get a MGO Beta voucher code redeemable on the 17th. I filled it out and immediately received an email containing the voucher code. Hurry, this won’t last forever
