Don’t worry, be happy?

April 23rd, 2008

Roughly a third of the University of Colorado at Boulder’s student body attended festivities this past Sunday in celebration of 4/20. Ten thousand students showed up to protest current marijuana laws and at 4:20PM the police did not interfere as the crowd smoked the drug which causes short-term memory loss. This is a yearly occurrence at CU Boulder, but 2008 saw record numbers in attendance. Video after the jump.

Wow, that’s a lot of people smoking the drug - which, by the way, causes short-term memory loss. No one was arrested and, so far as anyone remembers, the police did not interfere.

I heard in “Reefer Madness” that smoking pot makes you want to kill your brother. Oh wait… that was like 70 years ago. Really though, this seems like an improvement for smokers. Ten thousand people smoking and not one arrest. I think the only people that are still advocating the marijuana laws are the uninformed/stubborn conservatives unwilling to change their views/laws.
