Also, I'm very glad you have a personal blog and will cross-post. That's been something I wasn't sure if I would be doing also, since I brought you guys in to Postblink, but I think I will.
The fact that this person says “That some on the far right would now use this process of honesty as a way to describe Obama as a racist is a sign of their cramped hearts, frightened souls and utter inability to empathize.” is suggestive that the exact same things don’t happen on the other side of the party line. If you’re going to participate in party politics, you should probably be accepting of the fact that slander happens everywhere.
Perhaps I should start this comment out by officially endorsing, in case my posts haven't been clear on this, Barack Obama. I initially wasn't sure if I would be voting for Edwards or Obama, but since the Iowa caucus and his speech in PA it's become only more and more clear what candidate I support.

Now I understand and agree with you that slander is an issue for any one running for political office, but here's what my opinion is in defense of Obama; desperate white conservatives don't want him in office. Yes, I just said that.

There are several desperate white conservatives that are doing anything to keep Barack Obama out of office. Any form of slander imaginable, up to and including accusing Obama of being a Muslim terrorist. They're going out and voting at any democratic primary they can, and they're voting for Hillary to keep the black guy out of the white house. It happened in Texas, hence the small gap between Clinton and Obama.

Now anyone can call me out and say I'm just some lefty using the race card for a candidate who won't use it for himself, but I stand by what I say. There's a large part of our country that is still racist enough that they would prefer to see the white girl in office than the black guy, and that's just a fact. I don't mean to generalize, but there you have it.

Oh and I suppose I should clarify something - my issues with Clinton have nothing to do with her gender. Just in case anyone wants to try and call me out on that as well.
