Panic! at the Substance

I’m listening to a stream of the new Panic! at the Disco album and I wasn’t expecting to like this album to be honest, but may be having a change of heart. It’s not all sins, tragedies, & martyrdom with breakfast nails.

The lyrics are broader in depth than A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out and are accompanied by a variety of instruments, from strings to horns and of course some more piano.

I’m not sure that the album will thrill everyone who loved the bands first effort but it’s a great album that may in fact substantiate their mainstream push. It’s nice to be over the shotgun wedding scene.

Check out my favorite, The Green Gentlemen, and the rest of Pretty. Odd. on MTV’s Leak.

About Lucas

I'm a 22 year old writer-wanna-be from Iowa. After starting my first hobby site in 2004 and dabbling in web design and development, I registered Postblink.com in late 2006 to share my love (and hatred) for different aspects of all kinds of music. The site still serves that purpose, in addition to my thoughts on life and different events happening in my life.
