A few weeks ago I had a conversation with a current Jesup High School student about partying, Facebook, & what the school’s been doing lately. Students frequently use Facebook while at school, which is no surprise – more used MySpace when I attended, but it just makes sense that they would be logging in to social networks while on the computers. It’s been too easy to get past filters in the past and I’m not sure they’re even filtering Facebook – they wern’t when I was there.
Unfortunately the school’s been tracking the browsing habits of some and actually penalizing students for being in images of a party that is obviously in progress. Regardless of whether you think this is right or wrong, it’s happening. Which leads us to this video and the article after the jump from MSNBC…
You wanted to see them all at the same venue? Same night? Welcome to the 2008 Honda Civic Tour. It kicks off April 10TH and hits our section of the midwest on May 28TH at the Val Air Ballroom.
Kotaku posted an article a few days ago that was supposedly in-game footage of Sonic Unleashed for the next-gen consoles – and shortly there-after receieved a letter from Sega’s lawyers requesting the content be removed.
For those of you that don’t spend a lot of time in internet land (or lack common sense), this was basically confirmation that the content was in fact authentic.
Okay, like everyone I played Nintendo followed by the SNES when I was younger, but not my own – I had a Sega Genesis (Masterdrive). Sonic was my Mario but he’s been sucking it up at the next-gen scene. Have you seen Sonic Galaxies yet? Didn’t think so.
What’s exciting about this? They decided to do a scroller, the way Sonic’s meant to be played. But it’s not all about speed, it’s all about timing. This is like a revamped Sonic game of old, and even the music is more in tune with how the older games sounded. I’m pretty pumped to see where this game might go. Some classic gameplay with some new tricks in the graphics and physics department? Yeah. This could be good.
I’ve just updated from Wordpress 2.3.3 to 2.5. Did I break anything?

I’m considering adding some new blog authors to Postblink to get more diverse content on the site. If you’re a twenty-something that enjoys writing and will make an effort to post once a week or every other week about life, music, movies, tech, & other entertainment feel free to shoot me an email detailing who are and what you feel you can add to the site. Currently there is no ad revenue being generated on Postblink – so you would be doing this for fun, without any compensation other than the outlet of expression via writing.
In other news, I have labs, labs, and more labs for my fall semester. A+ Cert, CISCO Networking/Routers, Network Math/DataTransportation. Also Math for Liberal Arts & Intro to Psych. Fun times??
The following letter in reference to Motorola was posted on Engadget and gives some insight into the companies, well – for lack of a better word, shady-ness. the following except is a little information on what the article mentions – hit the more button for the entire letter.
As far as my personal opinion on the matter? I just find it said that the companies financial adviser has a far better grasp of what the company needs and has been doing wrong than any of the executive heads. Motorola hasn’t put out an innovative phone for a long time and personally, I wasn’t a big fan of the RAZR. After about a month of use I sent it back. Also, if any mobile company (other than perhaps Apple’s iPhone division) wants to be successful in the next 3-8 years then they need to endorse projects like Google’s Android platform. Anyways – on to more important things. Read more…
